Richard is a pensions specialist of long standing. He has been advising employers and scheme trustees since 1985 on all aspects of pensions law, and is an expert on pension scheme mergers and restructuring, money purchase and career average schemes, and in dealing with the pensions aspects of corporate transactions.
His other areas of expertise include dealing with Ombudsman complaints, scheme wind-ups, conflicts of interest and trustee protection. He is also a member of the firm's Pensions Investment team.
Richard has contributed to various pensions textbooks and journals and has been a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences. He is a full member of the Association of Pensions Lawyers and is the current Chairman of the Pensions Management Institute's South Western regional Group.
Richard joined TLT from Eversheds in 2003 and is independently recognised as a Senior Statesman in the field of pensions by Chambers UK, an independent guide to the legal profession.
