8 December 2021 | 10-11am | Zoom webinar

New pensions criminal offences and additional powers for the Pensions Regulator to issue contribution notices, came into force as part of the Pension Schemes Act 2021 on 1 October 2021. These are likely to influence how corporates and other parties approach transactions, given the new early notice required to be issued to trustees of defined benefit pension schemes and the Pensions Regulator.

What to expect

 Join us for a live webinar where we'll:

  • consider the impact of the new criminal offences and powers;
  • explain the process if you are charged with a criminal offence and defences you can raise;
  • and review how transactions may be affected.

The webinar will also include a case study in which we'll cover how a transaction will now have to be conducted and ways to mitigate your risks of being exposed to either a criminal or civil offence or a contribution and/or financial support notice. There will be an opportunity to ask questions in a Q&A session at the end of the webinar. If you would like to raise any questions in advance of the webinar please email Raluca Popu.

Who should attend

We would encourage independent trustees, DB pension scheme sponsors, covenant advisors, banking advisors, restructuring professionals, actuaries, trustees, pension managers and benefit consultants to attend this webinar.
