National law firm TLT has been shortlisted at this year's prestigious FT Innovative Lawyers Awards for the 'Most innovative firm in client service: Cutting-edge competition advice to the automotive retail sector'.
TLT was short-listed due to the firm's partnership with its client, the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA), who together coordinated a ground-breaking industry-wide campaign to initiate and influence the development of new European regulation to combat unfair trading practices in B2B relations, addressing specific anticipated gaps in effective competition regulation affecting the distribution and servicing of vehicles post-May 2013.
TLT's Managing Partner David Pester says, "TLT has been recognised by the Financial Times as one of the most innovative law firms in Europe for four consecutive years and I'm delighted that we have been shortlisted at this year's FT Innovative Lawyers Awards. This nomination reflects how TLT goes beyond the normal legal advisory role by delivering strategic and cost-effective advice on serious regulatory issues to an entire industry sector."
The winners will be announced at the awards dinner on 3 October at the Natural History Museum in London and the results will be reported in the FT newspaper and online at FT.com the following day.
This latest short listing comes after TLT was voted by clients the best UK law firm for client service in Legal Week's independently researched Client Satisfaction Report 2012. TLT has also been named National Firm of the Year at the Legal Business Awards 2013 acknowledging the firm's strategy and growth in Scotland and Northern Ireland and won Best Managed Firm and won Best Community Engagement at this year's Managing Partners' Forum Awards.
