UK law firm TLT has advised Conviviality plc, the UK’s leading independent distributor of alcohol and impulse products, on its partnership with Wiltshire-based pub operator and brewer, Wadworth.
The partnership will see Conviviality’s Matthew Clark business assume responsibility for Wadworth’s free trade business, with the aim of transforming Wadworth’s 6X cask ale beer brand from a regional to national brand. Conviviality’s Bibendum business will also supply wine and spirits to Wadworth, with a focus on adding premium brands to its estate.
Conviviality was advised by TLT's corporate team. Partner Alice Gardner led the deal, supported by solicitor Henry Male. TLT supported Conviviality's in-house legal team and enabled the deal to exchange in just two weeks from the point of instruction.
Gardner comments: "We are delighted to have worked alongside the legal team at Conviviality to deliver this new opportunity for Conviviality to expand its client base and offering."
Ciaran Stone, Group Head of Legal and Company Secretary of Conviviality plc, comments: "TLT collaborated with the team here at Conviviality to ensure that the transaction proceeded to timetable and that we received efficient, quick and clear advice."
