TLT's Stephen McGowan, partner and Head of Licensing (Scotland), has been appointed to the Scottish Government Alcohol Industry Partnership in his capacity as Chairman of BII Scotland. The Scottish Government Alcohol Industry Partnership is a key body that influences alcohol policy at the highest level of Government in Scotland.

Our members are central to what we stand for, which is promoting the responsible sale and consumption of alcohol and raising standards in best practice in the hospitality industry. I look forward to working with the Government and other partnership members to pursue these shared goals."
Stephen has a reputation as one of Scotland's leading licensing lawyers. He was appointed as Chairman of BII Scotland in 2012 and sits on the Law Society of Scotland licensing sub-committee and the National Advisory Panel of the Institute of Licensing. He has sat on a number of Government working groups relating to licensing including licensing board member training and personal licence refresher training.
