TLT has been shortlisted for Legal Advisory Firm of the Year at the third annual Car Finance Awards from Credit Strategy.
The nomination recognises TLT's leading position in the market and the exceptionally high quality of its team, including "shockingly clever" team leader Russell Kelsall (Legal 500).
The nomination also recognises the team's considerable growth over the last twelve months, as car finance providers increasingly look to TLT for advice on the continuing FCA review into the market and other ongoing regulatory changes and commercial issues.
TLT goes the extra mile for its clients, offering them horizon scanning, training and seminars and speaking at industry committee meetings and conferences. The team also authors and contributes to many of the leading industry textbooks.
Russell Kelsall, partner and head of consumer and motor finance at TLT, says: "We are one of the most credible advisers in the car finance market and the team works incredibly hard on behalf of our clients, so it's a real honour to be nominated for this award.
"There is a lot of change happening in the motor finance industry at the moment, especially from a regulatory perspective. We are pleased to be supporting our clients as they work through these ongoing reviews and prepare for the changes that are likely to be coming down the line."
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Nottingham on 7 June.
On 12 October 2018, the FCA published a Guidance Consultation (GC 18/4) on the Senior Managers and Certification Regime on statements of responsibilities (SoRs) and responsibilities maps (which apply to enhanced firms).
