TLT has bolstered its UK-wide litigation and restructuring and insolvency teams with the appointment of leading practitioner Jason Byrne as partner in Belfast.
Jason was previously head of Shoosmiths in Northern Ireland and his appointment reflects growing demand from TLT’s clients for a high standard of specialist and dedicated insolvency and litigation support.
He is known for delivering an excellent service, typified by responsiveness, clarity of advice and taking the time to understand his clients’ requirements and priorities.
He brings almost two decades of experience in insolvency and litigation to TLT, as well as financial services compliance and regulation.
Jason's clients include insolvency practitioners and major UK lenders, and there is often a cross-border element to his work.
He will work closely with TLT’s national teams to meet increasing client needs across all three UK legal jurisdictions.
Katharine Kimber, partner and location head for TLT in NI, says: “Jason is a talented lawyer with an impressive breadth of experience and a great fit for our growing insolvency and litigation offering.
“We have a strong proposition in the market combining litigation, real estate, insolvency, corporate and banking services and I think we will see even higher demand as the full impact of the coronavirus pandemic on business and lenders unfolds.”
Jason Byrne, partner at TLT, says: “I’ve been wanting to grow an insolvency practice and TLT has identified an opportunity to support its growing client base with an expanded offering.
“TLT has had great success across the UK and it’s exciting to be joining a firm with such a clear focus and a strategy that continues to deliver against the changing needs of its clients.
“I am really looking forward to working with the rest of the firm to establish a great service for our clients and build on the fantastic work done by the team in the last year.”
