TLT has announced the forthcoming appointment of Rich Hughes as banking and finance partner in London, who joins from Norton Rose Fulbright.
The appointment demonstrates TLT's continued strength in supporting financial services clients with a full range of expertise from market experts, including in transactional banking and finance.
Hughes brings over 30 years' of experience in banking, and structured, fund, asset and real estate finance to TLT's fast-growing team. He has a wide and diverse range of experience, and is an expert in finance for the hotel and leisure sector.
He has acted on many landmark deals including acting for Barclays on the financing of the Emirates/Arsenal Stadium, many market-leading securitisations and the financing of many of Emirates’ aircraft. Most recently he has acted on financings for the Ham Yard Hotel and the Mandeville Hotel Group, the Cerberus financing for GVC’s acquisition of “bwin party” and advised Terra Firma in its £1bn+ bid for Network Rail's 5,000 railways arches and associated land.
Hughes also worked for two years in-house at a major US investment bank and has undertaken extended secondments as acting general counsel for Emirates airline.
