TLT has appointed Marc Gilston as banking and finance partner in London, continuing the recent growth of the banking and finance team across its locations.
The team has also welcomed Catharine Macdonald as legal director and Lorna McWilliams as associate in Glasgow, following the arrival of Douglas Gourlay as partner in June 2018.
The appointments build on TLT's existing strength in banking and finance, working with major lenders, corporate investors and businesses.
Gilston has a broad range of experience with previous roles including at Simmons & Simmons, BLP and Clifford Chance.
Andrew Lyon, partner and location head for TLT in London, says: "Marc's appointment demonstrates our continued investment in growing and expanding our London offering, including our transactional offering in banking, corporate and real estate."
Gary Roscoe, partner at TLT and Legal 500's 'energy lawyer of the year' in 2019, says: "Marc is a great addition to the team. He brings extensive experience working with some of our largest banking clients and will help to ensure that we are continuing to meet our clients' needs."
Marc Gilston, partner at TLT, says: "TLT has a really strong offering and clear plans for growth in London. I am excited to be joining the firm at this time and working with Andy and the banking and finance team to build on this strength and depth, and support our clients."
