TLT has been recognised as one of the UK's top planning law firms by Planning magazine, out-pacing some of the largest law firms in the UK and other Bristol-headquartered law firms.
The 21st edition of the annual Planning Law Survey reveals that TLT is the 10th highest-rated law firm by industry professionals in the UK (up from 19th in 2017).
Katherine Evans, partner and head of planning at TLT and a prolific commentator on planning law issues, was also recognised as a leading individual, climbing from 25th in 2017 to 11th in 2018.
TLT has a dedicated planning team offering a complete service to a broad range of clients including local planning authorities, developers and consultancies. The UK-wide team acts across a variety of sectors, including housing, leisure, financial services, renewable energy and minerals.
Katherine Evans comments: "This is a wonderful achievement. It demonstrates the quality of people that we continue to attract and the excellent standard of service that we continue to deliver – not just as planning lawyers, but through our multi-talented team of industry and sector specialists.
"There has been a flurry of changes to planning law recently and this continues to be an interesting and complex area of law. We look forward to continuing to attract some the best talent in the industry as this becomes an even more important aspect of our clients' businesses."
The survey results are based on 179 responses from 131 different organisations, which comprised 67 planning consultancies, 36 councils, 25 developers and three government agencies. All responses were checked to make sure they came from eligible groups.
