National law firm TLT has advised Triodos Bank in relation to the funding of a two-turbine wind farm at the Michelin Tyre factory at Ballymena, Northern Ireland which is a development by Ecotricity.
This 4.6 MW development is projected to generate enough electricity to power the equivalent of 3,500 homes a year cutting 4,146 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, which is higher than the current industry best practice.
Banking partner Gary Roscoe led the team, working closely with solicitor Peter Skeen and involving specialist expertise from across TLT's commercial and real estate teams.
Steve Moore, Relationship Manager, Environment Team, Triodos Bank says, “We’re delighted to finance another of Ecotricity’s wind parks, with TLT as our legal advisors. We’ve a long and successful working relationship with both organisations, which has made a significant and innovative contribution to renewable energy generation in the UK.”
