TLT has advised Plantforce, the largest provider of heavy equipment rentals in the South West, on a £4.7m growth capital investment from BGF, the most active growth investor in the world.
Plantforce will use the funding to expand its fleet ahead of a growing project pipeline that includes a contract for HS2.
TLT provided bespoke legal advice and services to the management team and worked with the other parties to deliver a successful and timely agreement.
The TLT team included partner and head of corporate John Wood, corporate associate Adam Kean and banking and restructuring partner Jon Stewart.
Claire Trott, managing director of Plantforce, says: "This is a really exciting time for Plantforce as we work on some of the most significant and high profile construction projects in the UK. The investment will enable us to expand our fleet and continue to deliver an exceptional service to our customers – just like the personalised and high quality service we receive from TLT."
John Wood, partner and head of corporate at TLT, says: "The investment by BGF shows that there is a really healthy appetite in the South West market to invest in successful businesses with strong management teams. We have built a strong team with the scale and experience to support businesses with their significant growth decisions. We look forward to supporting Plantforce with the next phase of its development."
TLT was awarded 'Corporate Law Firm of the Year' at the South West Dealmakers Awards 2018. The firm also acted on the 'Small Deal of the Year' and James Webb, associate in the corporate team, won 'Young Dealmaker of the Year'.
