TLT has advised Norvento, a medium-scale wind turbine manufacturer, on the completion of four new UK onshore wind farm sites.
The four sites – three Scottish projects at Braco Castle Farm in Perth and Kinross, Blackburn Rigg in the Borders, Pomathorn Farm in Midlothian, and one Welsh site at Hillmoor Farm in Haverfordwest – are significant additions to Novento’s growing UK fleet of nED100 100kW turbines.
The TLT team included real estate associate Simon Williams and commercial partner Neel Mehta.
TLT’s Simon Williams, who is qualified in both Scotland and England & Wales, said: "From increasingly stringent planning rules to the tightening of subsidies and the expiration of the Feed-in-Tariff earlier this month; there is no doubt that these are challenging times for the renewable energy sector.
"But our client’s continued investment and healthy project pipeline demonstrates that there are opportunities for new onshore wind developments. It remains a viable investment and we’re delighted to have advised Norvento on their four new UK onshore wind farm sites."
Ivo Arnús, Director of Business Development, Norvento UK, said: "TLT have been very helpful in giving us best-in-class legal advice since our arrival in the UK. We hope to use their services as we continue to deliver on our strategic plan, which has allowed us to achieve a steady increase in market share. All of it thanks to having the best performing 100kW wind turbines in the market."
