TLT has advised Intercity Networks Limited, a subsidiary of Intercity Telecom Limited and a leading provider of innovative communication technology, on its acquisition of the business and assets of Gage Networks LLP, a specialist in cloud communications services. The deal was for an undisclosed sum.
The TLT team was led by corporate partner Jon Gill, with support from corporate solicitor Jack Wolton; real estate associate Edward Pitt; intellectual property legal director Jo Pritchard; and employment associate Kate Williams.
TLT’s Jon Gill said: "We were delighted to have the opportunity to support Intercity on this strategic acquisition, which combines the complementary products and services of Intercity and Gage for mutual benefit. We are seeing a lot of consolidation in the telecoms market at present and we look forward to working with the Intercity team on opportunities in the future."
Intercity’s Corporate Development Director, Bill Bates, commented: "We are extremely pleased with the services provided to us by the TLT team who worked diligently to complete the deal in a tight timetable. Despite the transaction involving several fields of legal expertise, TLT worked effectively in a seamless manner, providing valuable advice on a number of complex and potentially sensitive points. We look forward to building on this relationship as we target further acquisitions."
This deal builds on a busy few months for TLT’s Corporate team. Recently they have advised the shareholders of Sub10 Systems Limited on the merger with Fastback Networks in California. They have also advised BGL Group, one of the UK’s largest consumer insurance groups, on the sale of Bennetts Insurance to SAGA plc.
