TLT has advised the management team at Briefing Media, the UK's leading agriculture information and events group, on their management buy out, backed by Lyceum Capital.
The business was formerly owned by Kester Capital, who originally acquired the Briefing Media assets in 2012.
The TLT team was led by corporate partner John Wood and included corporate partner, Alice Gardner and banking partner, Jon Stewart.
TLT’s John Wood said: "This was an excellent deal for us to work on as it marks a significant new chapter for our client. To tight deadlines, we worked side-by-side with the management team at Briefing Media, advising on the terms of their MBO. Having worked with them on their buy and build it was great to see the deal come to fruition."
Last year TLT advised Briefing Media on its acquisition of Agrimoney, the agriculture investment information specialist. This saw Briefing Media expand its agriculture portfolio, which includes Farmer's Guardian; Arable Farming; Dairy Farmer; LAMMA; CropTec; Farmers Weather; LammaXchange and The British Farming Awards.
This deal builds on a busy period for our private equity team, who have also worked on transactions involving LDC, Business Growth Fund, Downing, MML Capital Partners, Bridges Ventures and Encore Capital in the last 12 months.
