TLT has acted on the purchase of the defendant personal injury division of Parabis Law LLP, Plexus Law, from its administrators by a consortium of private individuals, including the group’s original founders, Andrew McDougall and Tim Roberts.
A team from TLT, led by restructuring partner Alastair Lomax, advised the fixed share members of Plexus on the deal which completed on Monday 23rd November.
The transaction was executed on a highly accelerated basis and involved the production of a very significant amount of documentation by TLT.
The administration sale is one of the most complex of its type, involving multiple purchasers from a highly regulated business completing through simultaneous "pre-packaged" transactions. Plexus Law accounts for the lion's share of the former Parabis business in a deal which secures over 900 jobs.
The deal team from TLT also comprised Kelly Harvey (Corporate), Yasmin Musker (Corporate), Nathan Williams (Tax), David Birchett (Employment) and Hannah Wightman (Restructuring).
