TLT has appointed Matthew Cox as a real estate partner. He will be working from the firm's London office.
Matthew joins from Cripps LLP where he headed the retail sector team. He acts for landlords and tenants in the retail sector, advising them on issues such as asset management and the sale and purchase of commercial premises. Matthew has helped a range of retailers including well known high-street brands.
TLT's Maria Connolly, partner and head of real estate, said: "We have seen significant growth in our real estate retail practice. Having Matthew on board will enhance our offering and contribute to the continued growth of our retail client base, which includes many of the UK's leading retailers."
TLT's Real Estate Group acts for a variety of clients in the retail sector including WHSmith, Pets at Home, Well Pharmacy, TUI and Barnardos.
Over the last 12 months, three partners and four associates have joined TLT's Real Estate Group, bringing the total to 166 strong. Recently TLT has advised independent café chain Boston Tea Party on their latest property acquisition, and completed a £12.5 million acquisition on behalf of Cubex, which comprised of seven properties in Salisbury for commercial and residential development.
