TLT has expanded its UK-wide real estate team with the appointment of Patrick O'Hanlon as legal director in Northern Ireland.
Patrick brings a wide range of experience to TLT's leading real estate team. He specialises in property development, real estate finance, acquisitions and asset management.
Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Patrick worked in the construction industry for more than five years. He then gained five years' property law experience in England before returning to Belfast to join a large commercial firm in 2013. His commercial knowledge of construction and excellent legal experience provides considerable added value to his clients.
Patrick is qualified to practice law in England & Wales as well as Northern Ireland. He acts for developers, investors, landlords, retailers, banks, administrators, receivers and government bodies.
The news comes during a sustained period of growth for TLT that will see it move its existing Belfast office to River House, the impressive landmark building in the Cathedral Quarter, in 2019.
Judith Allen, real estate partner at TLT in NI, says: "Patrick is a great addition to our team. His experience is second to none and will help to strengthen our Belfast offering as we continue to grow. In spite of the challenges in the market, we are seeing a relatively high level of real estate activity, particularly in relation to city centre developments and large residential schemes. There are opportunities, and we look forward to continuing to support our clients with their investment decisions."
Patrick O'Hanlon, legal director at TLT, says: "I am delighted to have joined such a strong and successful team. TLT has had significant expansion and been involved in some of the biggest developments in Belfast in the last year. There is a real buzz about this firm as it continues to have a positive impact on the local real estate market. Property investment is evolving rapidly, and I'm excited to be assisting our clients as new opportunities emerge."
