TLT’s Maria Connolly, real estate partner, has been elected Chair of NARA, the Association of Property & Fixed Charge Receivers. Maria was elected by its 350 strong membership.
Her appointment is in recognition of Maria’s national expertise in the field of loan default and distressed real property as well as TLT’s leading reputation in the fixed charge receivership arena.
Working with Council members, Maria will aim to raise the profile of NARA, the only organisation representing and promoting best practice within the world of property and FCR. She will also ensure that the association delivers on its goal of being a leading education and training provider to those involved in fixed charge receivership.
Maria Connolly said, "Looking forward, NARA has crucial role in increasing the understanding of the role and function of receivers. I’m delighted by my appointment and look forward to working with the other Council members, helping to foster relationships between Property & Fixed Charge Receivers and the lenders who appoint them."
Maria Connolly has been an active member of NARA since for a number of years. Previously to being elected Chair she was Chair of its Finance Committee. TLT’s Andrew Glynn, head of real estate, is currently a Council member (and former Chair).
This year marks the 20th anniversary of NARA, which was celebrated at a high profile House of Commons reception in June.
