Five London schools will compete to win £500 by designing their own Shaun the Sheep mini-sculpture. The competition is being run by TLT as part of its support of the Shaun in the City charity art trail from Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity. The winner will be announced on 28 September.
The schools - Ronald Ross Primary School (Wandsworth), John Scurr Primary School (Tower Hamlets), Dunraven Primary School (Lambeth), Clapham Manor Primary School (Lambeth) and Bromley Road School (Bromley), will design and decorate their Shauns during September. Vivi Cuevas, artist and designer of the Shaun in the City sculpture sponsored by TLT, 'The Guardian', will judge the competition.
The Shaun in the City charity art trail involved 50 artist and celebrity designed sculptures positioned at iconic landmarks, spaces and attractions across London for nine weeks earlier this year. All the Shaun sculptures will be on display in Covent Garden in a final 'Great Sheep Round Up' from 24th to 27th September, before being auctioned later this year to raise money for Wallace & Gromit's Children's Charity.
