TLT has advised long-standing client Las Iguanas, the Latin American restaurant chain, on its successful application for a premises licence for its new restaurant in Dorset.
Las Iguanas was granted its licence application, meaning that they will be able to open until 12 midnight Sunday to Thursday and until 1am on Friday and Saturday nights.
The restaurant will be located at the £50 million leisure complex, BH2 development - formerly West Central - currently under construction in Exeter Road, Bournemouth. This is the first Las Iguanas restaurant in Dorset, adding to the chain’s national property portfolio. Currently there are 49 other restaurants in the UK, including Exeter, Bristol, Cardiff and Plymouth in the South West.
TLT's Matthew Phipps, head of TLT’s licensing team (England and Wales), said: "Having the premises licence granted for our client is a fantastic result especially as there was some concern expressed about the lateness of the hours requested. We are delighted that the licensing committee listened to the arguments and considered it appropriate to permit Las Iguanas these permissions."
Mos Shamel, Chief Executive of Las Iguanas, said: "Investment in the BH2 development in the centre of Bournemouth is bringing the area back to life creating commercial opportunities; and we are pleased to be part of this regeneration.
"Once again working shoulder-to-shoulder with TLT made the negotiations a smooth process, ensuring that the premise licence application was successfully granted."
Recently the team advised Las Iguanas on its application for a premises licence for a new restaurant in the centre of Swansea. They also advised on the restaurant chain on its application for a premises licence for its new restaurant in Torquay.
