TLT continues to grow its financial services regulatory offering with the hire of Russell Kelsall to its London office.
Russell joins from Squire Patton Boggs where he was a partner in the Litigation and Financial Services Practice Groups. He has extensive experience dealing with contentious and non-contentious financial services issues as well as matters involving consumer credit, products regulated by the FCA, including retail mortgages, payment services and savings, and disputes involving the sale and supply of goods and services and asset recovery. Russell also regularly advises on regulated activities, compliance issues including consumer law, drafts documentation for regulated products and advises on remediation projects.
Andrew Lyon, partner and head of London office, said: "Russell’s arrival will make a further contribution to our consumer credit expertise and to a growing Financial Services team at TLT, one grounded in real commercial experience with clients and regulators. Businesses need their legal advisers to keep them up-to-date and compliant with the regulator's proactive and developing expectations and Russell’s experience builds further our capacity to do that."
Russell’s arrival adds further weight to TLT's expanding City-based financial services regulatory offering and its wider 250+ strong UK Financial Services team.
