TLT continues to grow its financial services regulatory offering with the hire of partner Noline Matemera to its City office. Noline joins from Stephenson Harwood where she played a key role in the financial services team advising banks on non-contentious regulatory issues. Noline previously worked in the General Counsel Division at the then FSA.
Noline is an experienced financial services regulatory lawyer who advises on a broad range of issues across UK and EU law. She has unique insight into the workings of the FCA's contentious and non-contentious regulatory processes and structures. Having spent over six months on secondment at a global retail bank, Noline has direct and relevant experience of the commercial and regulatory challenges faced by the financial services industry and how external legal advisers can best support their clients.
Emily Benson, head of financial services regulation at TLT said: "Noline brings considerable experience to a growing financial services team at TLT and one grounded in real commercial experience with clients and regulators. Businesses need their legal advisers to keep them up-to-date and compliant with the regulator's proactive and developing expectations and Noline's experience builds further our capacity to do that."
Noline's arrival adds further weight to TLT's expanding City-based financial services regulatory offering and its wider 250+ strong UK financial services team. Recent hires include DWF's Manchester based financial services litigation team in Summer 2014 and non-contentious financial services regulatory head Emily Benson in Spring 2014.
