Boomtown Festival, which takes place near Winchester, has successfully secured a licence that replaces its current more restrictive licence. TLT's Matthew Phipps instructed Philip Kolvin QC, who secured the licence for this major music festival.
TLT's Matthew Phipps said: "This is a fantastic result for Boomtown Festival, which is a worldwide recognised event attracting visitors from 55 nations. By persuading the licensing authority to grant the extended license our client can continue to generate many millions for the Hampshire economy, providing work for 11,500 people during the event."
Anna Wade, Media Manager, at Boomtown Festival said: "We are delighted to have been granted this licence. Through the hard work put in by all of the team, including the expertise of Matthew Phipps from TLT and Philip Kolvin QC, as well as the solid working relationships with Matterley Estate and all responsible authorities, we have managed to obtain the licence we were hoping for whilst ensuring any concerns from the authorities were satisfied through additional or amended conditions to the licence. We can now look forward to opening the festival gates in just under two months’ time."
