Do you have a minimum requirement?

Yes, we ask for 300 UCAS points under the old tariff or 120 UCAS points under the new tariff along with a 2.1 degree. However we encourage all applications as we have a space for mitigating circumstances on our forms. Please be detailed when listing these or email


What are your application deadlines?

Bristol, London, Manchester, Glasgow Vacation Scheme – 10 January

Bristol, London, Manchester, Glasgow Training Contract – 31 July

Belfast Vacation Scheme – 30 June

Belfast Training Contract – 5 November


Do you consider non-law or mature applicants and career-changers?

Yes definitely! At TLT we believe that well-rounded trainees make the best lawyers, therefore your individual experiences are valued and your fresh perspectives align with our innovative and diverse culture. 


Can I get feedback on my application?

Due to the high volumes of applications received, we are only able to provide feedback on performance at assessment centre or vacation scheme.


How much choice do trainees get in the allocation of seats?

We ask for your top five seat preferences out of our 26 seats and then allocate in a process that is fair, considering your needs as well as the needs of the business.
