Jeremy Thomas

Jeremy J Thomas is a partner in the Maritime & International Trade team, which became part of TLT when Constant & Constant joined the firm in June 2007. He specialises in international litigation, arbitration and mediation and has extensive expertise in handling both shipping and general commercial disputes. The type of work in which he engages includes charterparty and bill of lading disputes (and the drafting of contracts of carriage); advising P & I Clubs and their members; dealing with commodity disputes, including oil, metal and grain; EU law involving workings of Intervention Boards; insurance disputes including the interpretation of marine insurance policies; intellectual property and copyright actions; and a ranges of Admiralty matters including collisions and groundings.

Jeremy qualified as a solicitor in 1972 and is also admitted to practise in Maharastra (Mumbai), India. He is often requested to give talks at shipping seminars in venues such as St Petersburg, New Orleans, Prague, Rijeka and Bratislava.
