TLT’s clean energy team has been ranked as a top 10 legal adviser by Inspiratia in its 2020 league tables, which ranks the year’s most active legal advisers in renewables.
The global league table puts TLT at number seven for the number of deals completed in 2020, based on the firm having advised on 27 deals spanning a wide range of technologies including ground mounted and rooftop solar, onshore and offshore wind, anaerobic digestion and battery storage.
Notable projects include advising Thrive Renewables on its partnering with Olympus Power to provide a £75m rooftop solar financing framework and its first venture into energy storage with the acquisition of the Wicken battery project; advising Low Carbon on the development of Ray Valley Solar Park - a 19MW community-owned solar park; advising Alpha Real Renewables on the acquisition of a portfolio of operational wind and solar assets located across Wales and the North West; and advising Bristol City Council on its £14m sale of Bristol Energy to ethical energy firm Together energy.
Kay Hobbs, partner at TLT, says:
“Our ongoing work with high-profile organisations demonstrates our continued position as a go-to advisor for clean energy projects, and highlights our ability to provide a cross-sector, end-to-end service for our clients, drawing on expertise from across our service lines and jurisdictions.”
