We also have an established practice specialising in the acquisition and disposal of debt portfolios.

  • Acting for the purchaser of 127 convenience stores saving 1300 jobs following the high profile collapse of the P&H retail group.
  • Acting for the joint administrators of a sales and marketing business in successfully defending a very hostile claim in the High Court. A complex and bespoke sealed-bids sales process was designed to complete the sale without risk of challenge resulting in the company and all jobs being saved.
  • Advising the Insolvency Service and Official Receiver’s offices, as part of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy involving c1000 instructions each year.
  • Acting for the Official Receiver Public Interest Unit as liquidator of 14 companies wound up in the public interest following a prosecution by the FCA against its main director.
  • Acting for a high-net-worth individual in successfully defending a high-profile claim brought by the trustee in bankruptcy of her husband in relation to a C£20m residential property in London.
