Equality & Diversity
StatementThis Equality and Diversity Policy Statement puts into practice the Firm's attitude towards equality and diversity. It is the responsibility of every person at TLT to ensure that his or her own conduct conforms to the expected standards and reflects this Policy Statement. We wish to ensure that our policies and ways of working are fair to all individuals and groups, whatever their status.
The policy aims to treat TLT people, clients, and other members of the public with whom the Firm comes into contact in the provision or receipt of services, with respect and dignity and in such a way as not to cause any disadvantage irrespective of marital status, age, race, colour, ethnic or national origin, gender, disability, religion, or beliefs or sexual orientation. This policy will be taken into account in the planning of services and in the decision whether or not to accept instructions or offer advice.
If equality standards are not applied then valuable talent and potential are wasted. Moreover when unfair discrimination, harassment, or victimisation takes place it brings about a climate of fear, insecurity and poor work performance. It is therefore important that every person at TLT understands his or her responsibilities. Equality standards are taken seriously by the Firm and wilful failure to apply the policy or evidence of discrimination, harassment or victimisation will result in disciplinary action, which in turn may lead to dismissal.
