TLT appoints Banking and Asset Finance partner from Simmons & Simmons

National law firm TLT has hired Simon Coles as a partner to its 10-strong Banking and Asset Finance team, which specialises in advising UK and foreign banks.
With over 10 years' experience in banking and asset finance, Simon joins from Simmons & Simmons where he was a Managing Associate. He specialises in acquisition finance, syndicated and bilateral lending, property finance, emerging markets lending and debt restructurings.
Richard McBride, partner and head of Banking and Asset Finance at TLT says "TLT acts for a number of overseas banks, with particular experience in Europe and in the Indian subcontinent. Simon brings with him considerable experience advising a range of lenders and borrowers and his experience in particular with Nordic and emerging market lenders will enhance and develop TLT's offering."

TLT acts for a range of finance providers, including Bank of Baroda, Bank of Ireland, Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation and leading ethical bank, Triodos Bank. TLT is regularly instructed on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional facilities, including syndicated loans. Beyond transactional work the team has prepared precedent documentation for a number of institutional lender clients, advised variously on derivative documentation and regulatory matters and continued to support its clients with a programme of secondees.
