12 October 2009
National law firm TLT has been appointed to the newly created legal panel of the London Boroughs Legal Alliance (LBLA). TLT is one of 16 firms appointed to the three-year legal panel which could be extended by the authorities for a further year.
TLT will provide specialist legal advice in eight areas including commercial; construction litigation; contracts, procurements and outsourcing; housing; local government; PPP and PFI; property and regeneration.
The London Boroughs Legal Alliance includes the boroughs of Camden, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow, Kensington & Chelsea, and West London Waste Authority and has been heralded as an innovative move which could save authorities millions of pounds through the pooling of resource, know how and joint procurement. The alliance has already attracted interest from other London borough legal chiefs.
Partner and Head of Property at TLT Andrew Glynn says, "TLT has a very strong public sector offering from both its Bristol and London offices and we're delighted to be a part of this exciting new approach to providing legal services. We understand the importance of driving efficiencies and delivering real value."
TLT is rapidly growing a national reputation for advising central and local government and other bodies that deliver public benefit such as the Metropolitan Police Authority, Covent Garden Market Authority and British Waterways Board.
