Our awards and accreditations confirm clients' and industry commentators' respect for TLT. Below are some recent examples of our recognition and achievements.

MPF International Management Excellence Summit 2013. The MPF Awards are held in association with Harvard Business Review and the Financial Times and are for all professional services firms across Europe

• Won the award for "Best Managed National Firm" for demonstrating "well thought-out strategies", which are implemented through "effective collaboration across the management team" and have resulted in a "positive impact on the client experience", "enthusiastic employees living the firm's values" and "sustainable commercial success".
• Won the award for "Best Community Engagement" for contribution and commitment to the Ablaze reading buddies and Ablaze mentoring schemes.

Legal Business 2013 Awards

• Won 'National Law Firm of the Year'.

Legal Week Client Satisfaction Report 2012

• TLT is ranked first of all the UK top 100 law firms in Legal Week's Client Satisfaction Report 2012, which surveyed the UK's largest companies including 89% of the FTSE 100.

Legal Week Employee Satisfaction Report 2012 (the legal publication's annual report compiled from an independent survey of over 5,200 qualified non-partner solicitors at 70 of the top 100 UK law firms as well as assistants and associates at the largest international law firms headquartered in London):

• TLT ranked 2nd overall in the survey in terms of meeting its employees' needs.
• TLT beat all other firms, including all global, Magic Circle, national and international firms, to be ranked first in the "career and development" category which saw employees surveyed about their client interaction, level of responsibility, performance feedback, personal development, skills training, partnership prospects, and the openness of communication about career development opportunities.
• TLT is ranked 2nd of all firms for the quality of its "management", which is measured on criteria including strategic direction of the firm, recognition and praise, co-operation and teamwork, line management, and internal communications.
• TLT jointly tops the table for the work life balance it offers employees; is ranked second of all surveyed firms for its culture; and third overall in the survey for the collegiality of the firm.

The Sunday Times' Best Companies to Work For (the national newspaper's annual survey of leading companies):

• Named a ‘first class’ employer by Best Companies Limited, the company which carries out the research for The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies list (2011).
• Named in the top 100 in the 'best companies to work for' (2005).
• Named one of the 'best companies to work for with headquarters in the South West' (2005). 

Financial Times’ Innovative Lawyers Report (the report by the national newspaper is based on 600 submissions, 690 interviews and more than six months of research of law firms throughout Europe):

• Named as one of 'Europe’s most innovative law firms' (2011).
• Commended for 'strategy' for an employee development programme for associates (2011).
• Named as one of 'Europe’s most innovative law firms' (2010).
• Awarded a stand-out accreditation for 'innovation in efficiency' for the firm's plot sales extranet (2010).
• Commended for 'innovation in the financial services sector' (2009).
• Named as one of 'Europe’s most innovative law firms' (2008).
• Highly commended for 'technology and know-how' for the firm’s pensions extranet (2008).
• Highly commended for marketing and PR for a client event (2008).
• Highly commended for 'innovation in client service' (2007).

Information Technology Report (the legal publication's annual report based on a survey of 4,988 employees at top 100 law firms in the UK or top 20 international firms in London on perceptions of how effective their firm's IT offering is)

• TLT ranked tenth out of top 100 firms (2011). 

Employee Satisfaction Report 2010 (the legal publication's annual report based on a survey of 38,000 employees at the top 75 law firms in England and Wales along with the top 10 US firms in London on all aspects of their working life):

• TLT ranked 4th (2010).

British Legal Awards (annual awards from legal publication Legal Week):

• Shortlisted in the 'education and training Initiative of the year' category (2010).
• David Pester won 'managing partner of the year' (2007).

Legal Business (the monthly legal publication):

• Shortlisted for 'national / regional firm of the year' at The Legal Business Awards (2011).
• Ranked 65th in the magazine’s annual survey of the top 100 law firms (2010).
• Awarded 'UK regional law firm of the year (2004).

• Won 'Excellence in talent management and retention' award at The Lawyer Workplace and Diversity Awards (2012).
• Won the 'HR team of the year' award at The Lawyer Workplace and Diversity Awards (2012).

Managing Partners' Forum (MPF) Awards (annual awards by the member-led organisation which is dedicated to enhancing the leadership and management of professional services firms worldwide):

• Won the 'smart workplace' award for TLT's brand-new London office (2010).
• Won the 'learning programme' award for two employee development programmes for associates and newly qualified solicitors (2010).
• Awarded 'best management working capital' (2004).

LC.N Training & Recruitment Awards (recognise the best recruiters and trainers among law firms were based on a large survey of over 2,500 trainee and newly qualified solicitors)

• Shortlisted for best recruiter (2011)

Payroll Giving Quality Mark Award (A government funded scheme that allows employees to make tax efficient contributions to a charity of their choice)

• Awarded Bronze for commitment to good causes and the local community.

Insider Dealmaker Awards (annual awards from regional business publication South West Business Insider):

• TLT’s Corporate Finance team won ‘deal of the year’ award for its involvement in the ambitious and complex acquisition of £140million turnover business Stonegate Farmers Ltd (2009).

Bristol Law Society Awards (annual awards from the Law Society representing the legal community in Bristol and the South West):

• TLT named 'Law Firm of The Year' (2011).
• TLT Partner Tim Pyper received 'lifetime achievement in law for legal practitioner' (2009).

South West Deal Awards (annual awards for recognising corporate success in the South West sponsored by the regional newspaper Western Daily Press):

• Corporate lawyer Andrew Webber won 'young dealmaker of the year' (2008).
• Awarded 'corporate law firm of the year' (2007).

Legal Marketing Awards (annual awards recognising excellence in the provision and implementation of strategic marketing solutions in the legal profession):

• Press officer Charlotte Sansom won 'regional PR professional of the year' (2008).

Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Regional Awards (annual regional awards given by the professional accountancy body):

• Won 'best achiever in business' award (2004).
